About SNOW-WHITE

Adoption Fee: $550
Rat Terrier mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

SNOW-WHITE was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas where dogs have just 3 dogs to be saved. SNOW-WHITE is spayed, core vaccines, rabies, de-wormed and micro-chipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 9 July 2018 and at the time of rescue at the beginning of December 2018 weighed around 15.70 pounds, but she will obviously gain weight as she grows. She is listed as a Rat Terrier Mix. We have no way of knowing the exact breed, it is up to individuals to decide what breed they think is most likely. SNOW-WHITE has been at the rescue since December 2018 and during this time she has lived with lots of dogs, ages, breeds and sizes ranging from 6 pound chihuahua's up to 120 pound German Shepherds and she gets on great with them all. She loves to play and chase with the other dogs, play with the toys and then chill out either in front of the pellet stove or on a dog bed with the other dogs. Snow White has not had any kind of training so she will need leash and obedience training, however, she is very responsive and I believe would be very easy to train with proper techniques and continuity. She rides great in the car and is very friendly with everyone she meets. She has met a friends young teenage granddaughter and was great with her. She is young and active so we are looking for an active family for her. She is a medium sized dog and still has maybe a little more growing to do, but I would not think much more. She does use the dog door to go out and play and do her business but will not know to let her family know she needs to go outside. I do not what she will be around cats or livestock, although since she is young it is a great time to expose and desensitize her to them if she has any kind of curiosity, although she is a terrier breed so caution should be taken. SNOW-WHITE would be great for a family looking for a medium/small sized dog, one to go on adventures with them and to cuddle up at night or on lazy days. All dogs (except dogs saved from China) are available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550. Canadian adopters need to know that customs charge 15% taxes when entering into Canada. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling, vetting, health certificate, transport from Texas to Maine, monthly preventatives, supplements, food and anything else that is needed.
