Sweet Coconut lived a lonely life as an outside dog and had an unfortunate encounter with a raccoon. Her owners could not afford medical treatment so they dropped her at the shelter. Per shelter protocol, Coconut had to be placed on a rabies quarantined for 6 months and she was quite lonely all by herself in a cage at the shelter. We went through quite a bit of red tape to get her released to our rescue where she has 3 weeks left of quarantine in her current foster home. Coconut is all healed up and healthy. She is a very sweet girl who is a laid back, easy dog. She is about 4 years old and weighs 7 pounds. She gets along with other dogs her size and does great with children. She is housebroken and walks great on a leash. She loves to cuddle and sit on your lap for pets. She is a bit shy with new people and new dogs but once she knows you, she does fine. She will be ready for her new home early January 2019.
