About Penny

Four-year-old, ginger-colored (hwanggu) female Jindo (or Jindo mix) dog, 40 pounds, needs a home where she can be around someone full time. She has separation anxiety. She has an extremely sweet personality; loves to give licks and kisses, is affectionate and likes affection, belly rubs, head skritches, etc. She is house trained but doesn't understand/follow basic commands; she needs training, like a puppy. She gets along equally with men and women and is fine with with other dogs. As far as I know, she's okay with cats but should be monitored. She avoids rowdy or aggressive dogs. I haven't witnessed her around children. My friend gave her a bath when she had her at her place without much trouble. Her appetite is good; she's slightly food motivated. She walks easily on a leash, with no pulling, but doesn't know heel. If you want an adult, house-trained dog who will dote on you and cuddle with you, is easy to hang out with as long as you don't lock her up alone, and if would like to train a dog and help her overcome some of her separation anxiety, this is the dog for you; or if you know she can be around a person at all times, she'd be okay with that. She'd probably be fine with going to doggy day care, too. She may have been crated, and shows no fear of a crate, so she is crate-trainable, and is being crate-trained now. I'll donate the crate. Penny is chipped and up-to-date on vaccinations.
