About Ollie B

Hi MY name is Ollie B. from South Carolina, my owner surrendered me to a shelter and I was rescued by Carolina Poodle Rescue, I came to New york for an adoption event and a volunteer with CPR wanted to take me home as a foster because she saw that I was very shy and would need a human to show me love so that I could show some excitement for my forever home. I dont really know why I was surrendered, I tried to escape my bad living conditions and I guess my previous owner did not like that. When I'm with my foster mom who I only met recently, I stay by her side and look to her for guidance. I am very good with house training and I listen when I am told not to do something. I am very timid and get along well with other dogs but I havent learned how to play with them yet because Im still learning how to be a dog! I have never shown any aggression about anything at all, and no one has heard me bark yet! I am playful and you can see my tail wagging all the time, especially when I wake up and its time for breakfast! I am still learning what a ball is but I think I will like to play fetch once i get the hang of it! Sometimes I think I am a cat and squeeze into weird places like the windowsill and look out the window! I am a very curious boy! I am very well mannered and super affectionite The city noises scare me, but bare with me, i have not experienced much of life at all even though ive been around for 4 years. I was very neglected but I learn and adapt quickly and as long as I have a human to tell me I am safe and loved, my inner fun loving dog comes out. I have been cat tested and I do not react to cats--but most things sort of scare me until I know they wont hurt me. I think I would be good in a home with other dogs because they will help show me the way, but I also would probably be happy with having my best (furless) friend being a human! I am very skinny weighing only 23.5 lb at the moment but my fostermom is working on putting some weight on me! I think I should weigh atleast 30lb! Note from foster mom: Ollie would do well with an experienced dog owner because he is very timid, and is a bit scared of the city but he has gotten so much better in just a few days of going on long walks in the loud downtown area of manhattan. He likes to help me clean up... when I dropped a washcloth and forgot to pick it up he grabbed it for me and brought it to the couch-- very cute.
