About Chai

1/10/19 Update from Chai's foster mom: Chai is a very sweet and happy boy. His favorite activities include soliciting belly rubs and napping. He likes to burrow himself in blankets and get extra comfy. He does enjoy taking casual strolls or playing a game of fetch but is not demanding. He would be up for whatever his person wants to do. He will make a great companion for someone looking for a lower energy new buddy. If you need a new friend, Chai wants to be your guy! No kids as he may nip if scared. Chai is a 7 year old male Doxie mix. He weighs about 14 pounds. He is happy and playful. Takes a tad to warm up to strangers. Good with dogs. NO KIDS as he will nip if scared. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
