About Alba

My babygirl Alba. I adopted her in March of 2018 when I was going through one of the hardest times of my life with the intentions of her being my baby for the rest of her life. She has been severely abused, when I first brought her home I just stared at her and cried because I just couldn't understand why someone would hurt such a beautiful soul. They say Pit Bulls bounce back and Alba is proof of that. Over the past months she has grown into trusting humans again. She is still iffy with men taller than 5'8, but if you just give her a chance I promise you she will change your life for the better. I know she did for mine. She saved my life when I was going through so much hurt, I just had to look at her and I would be reminded that she needed me to be strong. And we grew together. It really breaks my heart to have to find her a new home but I recently had a baby. And I know that is not a reason to abandon a dog but at this point in time it would be better for the both of us. I live with a family friend and she is not allowed to roam around like she should be able to so she is created almost throughout the whole day. An opportunity came where I can move into an apartment with my newborn, but I can't take Alba. And even if I could she would be crated all day. It would be so selfish for me to even try to keep her at this point. She deserves better. She has a real long tail and when she's super excited anything in her way has the possibility of getting knocked over. She has separation anxiety but it only seems to be with me. When I'm not around she's like a whole different calm dog. She did have issues with going potty inside the house but that had improved and we haven't had an accident in months! She's a strong baby she really is.
