IRENE - A4115620 My name is IRENE. I am a spayed female, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier and Pointer, and I weigh about 46 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 3 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Sep 01, 2018. ckWhomever adopts Irene is lucky. As a volunteer, I have no idea how she's been overlooked. She is petite, sweet, good with dogs that have her activity level, likes to hike and already has decent manners. She even drinks out of a water bottle! I took these pictures when we went hiking recently. She kind of pants a bit in the car but is happy to meet new friends once we arrived at the trail. She sadly has 'happy tail' right now. This means she has wagged her tail so much trying to get noticed at the shelter that the end of it has split open, but it is on the mend. Having been at the shelter so long, Irene may be euthanized soon due to the shelter being so full. If you want a loving, loyal life-long compamion, Irene is your girl. She would make a wonderful walking or hiking partner.
