OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi! I've been a K-9 Angel and in my foster home for a few days now and, oh my. It's a Wonderful Life!! A warm house, comfy bed, regular meals and treats, and lots of love. My foster mom gives me lots of pets and tells me I'm a beautiful girl - I love hearing that. I've gotten along well with the other small dogs who live here. I was spayed 12/10 and haven't been on walks so we're not sure how well I do on a lead. I sleep in my crate at night without a fuss and sometimes go in during the day to take a nap. No accidents in the crate or in the house. I'm a pretty easy going gal - give me love with a few treats thrown in and we'll be good to go! Foster mom says your eyes are the window to your soul. She says when she looks in my eyes she sees a gentle, loving and devoted soul. She's sure I'll adapt well to my furever home and that once we get to know each other, I'll be your devoted and loving best friend. I'll be at the Adoption Center this weekend so please come meet me. I'm waiting for you!! LaQuita is a terrier mix, about 2 years old and weighs 15 pounds. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
