Are you looking for the moon of your life, your sun and stars? You are?! Then you must be looking for me, Luna! I came all the way from Emporia for a chance at a spot on your forever couch. I am a 1 to 2 year old Pit Bull and I weight around 50 lbs. I am short and stocky, but that doesn't stop me from doing zoomies, especially in the snow. Kids and other dogs make great playmates for me; we can run and run together in the backyard and play fetch or tug until the moon comes up. I am house-trained and crate-trained and making excellent progress on leash training. Now I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, so I hope you won't hold that against me when you come to meet me. If you're looking for a dog who will love you to the moon and back and illuminate your days with positive energy, you're looking for me, Luna! If you come to meet me at the Waynesboro Petsmart between 10 AM and 2 PM, I promise you'll be over the moon about me. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
