About Jessee

I found Jessee November 29th at a trailhead parking lot in Russellville, Arkansas while I was walking my dog, so I'm guessing on her breed/s. She immediately followed me the entire route and back to my car (about two miles) which was beyond the parking lot I found her. It was dark by then, and I encouraged her to jump in, but she wouldn't. Finally, after many failed attempts of putting her in the car and her jumping out, I left but then returned within 15 minutes only to find that she'd gone back to the exact place where I originally found her. She was in heat, and I suspect that was why she was left there. I put her in the car and brought her home. She gets along with my very laid-back sweet older red healer, but she does not like cats and needs a great deal of socialization with other dogs. I believe this was her first time in heat making her about 6 months old. I've advertised her in the paper and on the Arkansas Lost Dogs website in case she's lost, but I have yet to have anyone contact me, and she doesn't have a chip. She's extremely sweet with people but may be a little too high energy for kids. She's been sleeping with me ever since I brought her home and is very cuddly. I'd keep her except that I found my coon hound who had been lost for a month yesterday, and the two dogs do not get along. She's scheduled to be spayed December 20th (earliest my vet could do it), but if someone wants her earlier than that, I'll have it done sooner. I want this really sweet puppy/dog to go to a good home. It's not easy keeping the dogs separated at my house and exercising them, but I'll do it until I find the right owner/owners for her. She'd be an incredible ONLY pet for someone.
