About Niko

Niko was rescued from a high kill shelter in South, TX and traveled to MI to find his forever home. Here is some info his TX foster family sent with him. His MI foster family is still getting to know him, but agree with all they have outlined below :) Niko is 7 month old, neutered, Retriever mix. He is handsome and super sweet. He is such a happy pup! He is crate trained and doing great with his house training. Niko is dog and cat friendly and loves people! He is super cuddly and loves to just hangout, touching his human companions. He enjoyed playing with the resident dog and children. He is super confident and very curious. He will let you know when he wants to cuddle and can be sweet and affectionate. He does have quite a bit of energy though so an active home where he gets lots of exercise/activity is a must. A fenced yard and/or a playmate would be ideal too. Nico loves little people but due to his size and energy, we would suggest kids over 8 the best fit. He has taken to the leash very well and is a good traveler.
