Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet. Lina, possibly a fox terrier & jindo mix, 10 month old, female, 28 lbs, spayed, chipped, heart worm negative. Yet again another horrible situation & this one was of desperation & fear that it would be to late. A high kill shelter in Changwon Korea began killing dogs on this day & 19 sweet souls were put to sleep & unfortunately next in line was the beautiful daughter Lina & her mum Lisa who had been kept in this small crate while in the shelter. The Korean rescue who we work with are absolutely so amazing & dedicated to these babies put out a plea for these sweet girls to save their lives & we answered. Both mum Lisa & daughter Lina are now US citizens & we cannot begin to thank the Koreon rescue enough for what they do & we are beyond grateful to them. Once Lina & her mum were rescued from the cramped crate of the shelter it was quite clear they were beyond overwhelmed with joy to be running around & playing & to have freedom to stretch their legs & run free together. From the beginning it was discovered in Korea that both of the girls love toys so in their new homes toys is a must. This sweet little lady is full of puppy love & energy & at the age of 1 she loves to play & run & something that has been discovered about Lina is she is a climber, we believe because she spent so much time in the cage in Korea she just wants space, she can climb a 6 ft fence with ease so in her new home a fully fenced yard & never ever left unattended outside is a must for this sweetheart. Also with Lina absolutely needs to learn her doggy manners around small dogs so we would not put her in a home with small dogs but only dogs that are her size or bigger. She is so very sweet & affectionate with people, & enjoys being cuddled & playing & being hugged by humans. When you originally do pick Lina up to give her affection she goes stiff & has her mouth open until she trusts you then once she does she slowly closes her mouth. She does jump at you to be cuddled & hugged so small children in the home is not the best idea. Lina rides great in a car & walks fine on a leash but would still need work. We have also had Lina around many breeds of dogs in the rescue all shapes & sizes but as mentioned needs to be taught her doggy manners with smaller dogs so small dogs in the home would not be a good fit for this lady. Lina is perhaps a Fox terrier, jindo mix, what her true breed is we do not know, she is 28 lbs & still growing, she is spayed, chipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & looking for her forever family. Lina is extremely active & would do best in a home where they are a very active family, hiking, several walks a day & good play time, so a home with a fully fenced backyard is a must for Lina. As with all of our rescues & Lina friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Lina has not been around cats since being in the rescue & we would not put her with cats but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children & she would need work around children as she likes to jump at you once you know you to receive love & cuddles so in her forever home this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. We do not know for sure what breed Lina is mixed with & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Lina & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Lina that meet all the requirements for this little sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Lina has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for her forever home. An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply
