About Dixie

FOSTERS NEEDED IN/AROUND FL Dixie needs a foster or forever home. She is currently still at the shelter in Lakeland, FL, and we would like to place her in a foster ASAP. Transport may be an option depending on location. She is patiently waiting to be loved on! Dixie was left at the shelter in October, because she was 'too big' for her owner that had her since she was a puppy. Dixie begs to differ! She is a 1-2 y/o full-figured beauty at ~100 pounds, UTD on shots, and spayed. She is still being treated for skin allergies, and will need to be given weekly medicated baths. This sweet girl will need a home without cats and small dogs. She will be your constant and loyal companion. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE If Dixie is not the perfect match for your situation, DDBSAR may still need your help! We have some other Dogue de Bordeauxs in need in FL, but we need dedicated volunteers/fosters in the state in order to save them.
