Harriet is a very affectionate cat. She's lived with babies and other cats and dogs, but she is sometimes dominant and would probably be bossy and intimidate a mild mannered or submissive dog. She lived with 2 Siamese in addition to the dogs and mostly ignored them. She loves to snuggle and be pet. She tolerates bathing and nail trimming well. She recently had a check up and is having her teeth scaled before she can move to her new home. She's got a sensitivity or allergies to chicken, turkey, pork, beef. She's done well on LID rabbit, salmon, and now trying duck and seems fine. Harriet was born in my house and a few years ago, when I had 7 animals, I rehomed all of them accept her because I couldn't part with her. My children adore her and she them. I need to rehome her because my family and I are moving in with my boyfriend and he is highly allergic and despite efforts to desensitize him to her he suffers miserably with even the slightest exposure, it is not possible for him to live in a house with a cat, his immune system attracts him relentlessly. She is a mature cat, but really a kitten at heart! She's not really into toys, but does enjoy catnip, and most of all being pet. She loves to be combed and brushed and to snuggle. She would make an ideal companion for someone who is looking for a lap warmer with a funny, quirky personality.
