About Luey

FOSTER LOCATION: Bosie, ID Adoption Fee: $75 Breed: Min Pin Age: 8 1/2 years Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Luey found himself at the shelter in McCall, ID and wasn't doing well there so they reached out to Fuzzy Pawz for help and we happily placed this lovely boy into our foster program. What's not to love about this boy. He is social, happy, easy going and an absolute joy to have around. He loves everyone he meets and just has that 'feel good' vibe to him. He is good with the old and the young alike. That being said Luey will need a special home as he is mostly blind. He gets around well once he knows his surroundings and you wouldn't guess he can't see; but he will need a home that is tidy without things strewn all over (like kids toys) so he doesn't trip/fall and hurt himself. It appears he has been mostly blind for quite some time as he adjusts and compensates easily - he has been seen by a vet and is very healthy and we are unsure what happened to his vision. This handsome boy is quite active and loves (and we mean loves) to go out for walks; he will demand to be walked on a daily basis - he gets so excited to get out and about it's actually hilarious. He likes to play and a good game of tug-of-war is a daily activity; he'd do well with toys that make noise when they move so he can chase them. Luey is great with other dogs of all sizes and could not care less about cats. He would do best in a home with another friendly playful dog that will engage with him. He does tend to follow the other dog in his foster home; she helps him 'see' where he is going so a bond with another dog will be important. And come on another dog he can play with would be the best thing ever. A tad bit over weight he needs to lose about 4 pounds; someone at some point taught him to beg and he's a pro at it.
