This handsome red-nosed American Pit Bull Terrier dog is 6 years young and in vibrant good health. Weighing 60 pounds, he has been neutered, is up to date on shots, micro-chipped and apartment trained. He is sweet, well-behaved, intelligent and very lovable. He has all the best qualities one would want in a dog, and is used to living in the big city. Duke is very good with children and most other dogs. He is not a fan of Labrador Retrievers (particularly Black Labs) or other large dogs. Duke's owner has lovingly cared for him for the past three years after adopting him from a rescue in Upstate NY. She takes him for long walks in Central Park every morning, feeds him a high quality diet, and treats him as a first-hand family member. Duke's owner has had to make the heart-wrenching decision to find him a new home. She has become increasingly busy in her career, and is now having to travel constantly. This means that Duke is spending far too much time in the care of pet sitters. In addition to this being incredibly expensive, it is not a good situation for Duke. He needs the stability of a family who have lots of time for him. He would love to have a home with a large, securely fenced yard, and some great kids to follow around.
