About Dahlia

Pit Bull / Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Dahlia is a rescue from when I worked at Camp Bow Wow in 2015. I was told that her adoptions were failing because of the scar on her back. According to Jefferson Parish she was found at under 2 years of age on the streets of New Orleans with a back injury from digging out from under a hurricane fence. The wound was healed and has never had issues with it. Over time she was good with me touching it. She is afraid of roads (vehicles on roads) and rain. I'm assuming due to pervious owner and being kept outside. Since my ownership of her she lives inside, kennel trained, micro chipped, and access to a fenced in backyard on a lake. She does well with male dogs but is overly dominating to female dogs. She is quite goofy but learned how to say 'I love you'. She needs a home with one on one companionship. Does ok with a leash as long as walking in areas where cars are not in travel. Good with baths as long as you are calm and gentle as she is afraid of water. I will be moving out of state from said house to an apartment where she because of her breed is not allowed. I tried to sneak her through but they require a photo and it's obvious that she is has pit bull in her regardless of vet records. If not adopted I will have to turn her over to animal control. Please help.
