A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.?Uni (Julie) Westie purebred 6 years old, was spayed by laser by our vet, just had major dental, etc 14 lbs & putting on weight. Was heart worm positive. Another absolutely heartbreaking life story of the sweetest Westie girl, Miss Uni formerly Julie, her foster dads named her Uni. Uni was abandoned in a construction factory site in Korea, she was unrecognizable, she was so dirty & filthy, she was very sick, matted to the skin, needing help so badly that the before pictures are so unbelievable to what she looks like now. Uni was picked up & taken to a kill shelter in Korea where thank goodness the amazing Korean rescue we work with got her out before it was to late. After Julie was rescued the true love, care & medical attention to Uni needed to begin & she needed a lot in Korea & in WA. In both places we have spent well over a combined $3200 on this sweet lady. Because of the severity of the neglect along with the unsafe food she had been consuming in Korea & the living environment her health was a mess & needed a lot of work. It was discovered that Uni had heart worm along with a possible luxated patella, a grade 3 out of 4 so that was just more things added to this sweet girls plate she had to be treated for while in Korea. This poor sweet girl had a lot of recovery ahead of her. Beautiful Uni was bought back to the US & is now a US citizen & we cannot begin to thank the Koreon rescue enough for what they do & we are beyond grateful to them for saving Uni & every other sweet soul they rescue. We got Uni off her flight & boy oh boy was she so excited to get to eat the food & treats we had for her, it was so lovely to see her excitement & enjoyment. Uni was taken to our vets where she had a major dental done, she was spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, was chipped & received more shots. Uni is oh so very sweet & affectionate with people, & enjoys being cuddled & given love. Uni's foster dads were saying she just wants to please you. Uni also does really well being bathed considering we cannot even begin to imagine if she was ever bathed before being rescued as she had to be shaved down to the skin when rescued because of the mats & dreadlocks & the filth in her fur. She does enjoy sleeping in the bed with her foster dads & siblings & is getting good exercise on her walks & was getting a little puffed out at first because she was not used to being loved & going on walks but is improving. Uni rides great in a car & loves her foster dog brother & sister so a home with other dogs is mandatory for Miss Uni. Uni would do best having other dog friends in the home & being part of a pack. Uni meaning Lucky in Korean is looming for a home where she will be cherished & loved as she should be. Uni is perhaps a West Highland Terrier, she is 14 lbs, she is spayed, chipped, up to date on her shots, went through her treatment for heart worm in Korea & was positive & treated & will still show positive for roughly 6 months after but has been fully treated, had major dental & had 1 tooth extracted. As with all of our rescues & Uni's friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Uni has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children & this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. But we believe she would do best in a home with no children where it a lovely calm environment where Uni can receive lots of love. We do not know for sure what breed Uni is but believe she is a West Highland Terrier but it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Uni & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Uni that meet all the requirements for this little sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in
