Daisy is a 3 year old, 22lb, Jack Russell Terrier mix. We heard about this smiley girl because she was sitting in a shelter with heartworms, not vetted, and scared. We knew that, without our help, she may never know a life outside those walls. While we are not too sure what her past was like, whatever she has gone through left her unsure of people. But, as soon as this sweet girl knows you love her, she will follow you everywhere, snuggle up with you wherever you're sitting, flop over for constant belly rubs, and enjoys car rides. Daisy has lived with other dogs in the past and is currently working on avoiding her foster feline sisters as much as possible. She is housetrained and kennel trained, and is quickly adapting to a life of comfort and warmth. When meeting new people, Daisy is most comfortable with slow and easy introductions. Because it takes her some time to trust it is best that Daisy's home have no small children. Daisy loves exploring the yard, is fine on a leash, and would rather run around with her people than chase a ball right now. Because Daisy is being treated for heartworms, she would need to go to a foster-to-adopt family that would be okay with waiting to make her an official member until her treatment is complete. Daisy is microchipped, fully vetted, and ready to meet her family. If you would like to meet her, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org.
