About Lucy

Lucy is a 4 to 5 year old Lab that was adopted 1 year ago at a vets officei out of Richland, Mi. She was going to be euthanized by the local vet due to the vets evaluation that she was aggressive to other animals. I evaluated her and found her very anxious and defensive as if she had been abused by the previous owner or family members. A background check revealed that theformer owner was a senior woman whu placed Lucy with her daughter when she could no longer mauntain her because of the owners failing health and having to go into nursing care. At the time she was the only animal in the home until she was placed with the daughter after which she showed signs of aggression with food with the daughter pets. I adopted her approximately 1 year ago with the following observations: She is very alery and somewhat dominant but attentive to verbal commands, protective, and responsive. She is good with other people. She is very trained in her house breaking but not Kennel Trained. Walks well on her lead . Due to my failing health with Kidney problems and possible cancer I can nolonger keep her. She is an excellent companion dog amd is a great friend.
