About Chris

Chris is available for foster or adoption. We are a foster-based rescue and always looking for foster families. Chris is currently fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). Chris is a 4-year-old Chi/rat terrier mix who has a very calm demeanor. He plays with big dogs and little dogs, minds his own business most of the time, and is not needy, nippy or barky. He is a very independent fellow, but he does like to snuggle, play with toys, or just sit on the porch with you. He is easy to walk on lead and does OK in the car. He will need a fenced yard as he likes to explore, and enjoys the company of another dog, although that is not a dealbreaker for a good adoptive home. He tolerates sweaters and loves to sleep on the bed with you. He will not compete with other dogs. We have not had any accidents in the house with him. Chris would make a great companion dog, and with his moderate activity level, long walks would be great for him. Anyone looking for a cute, all-around good-natured little guy? Chris is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and preventives, microchipped and heartworm-free.
