About Lucy

Lucy is 13 years old. Lucy is a very sweet and loyal dog. She has a large scar on her flanks from a dog fight she got in while protecting her friend, another dog. Her owner gave her to a person who loves her but has no experience with dogs, and is no longer has a stable home. Lucy is eating and drinking and loves the beach, but I am very concerned about the level of pain she is in, and although I continue to urge her caretaker to take Lucy to a vet, and ask about pain relief, it has not happened. I no longer believe that she is being cared for appropriately and think she deserves a safe and loving home with supports until such time that her quality of life has deminished. A sanctuary of sorts. Out of 15 signs of pain she is showing 10. Lucy has been to the pound twice last month because she was left wondering around without a leash by her caretaker. Lucy has difficulty walking, getting up and down due to age. Can anyone open their home to Lucy?. Im afraid she is in too much pain and requires medications and assistance such as a harness rather than a collar. She is potty trained but drinks lots of water and needs access to relieve herself. Or lots of short trips outside. She can hear and see with the help of a flashlight at night. She goes on car rides, and loves the sofa. She's great with children and babies, and most people. Needs a regular home and lots of love. Let's see if there's help for Lucy the pound was very traumatic for her.
