About Zoey

Hello, I am Zoey. People think I'm about 2 or 3 years old, and while I'm not too good at telling time, I can tell you I'm having the time of my life. You see, I used to live in a place called a puppy mill, where my job was to make puppies. It's not a fun job, especially for a little 11-lb. Rat Terrier mix, who is barely older than a pup herself. People say they can tell I must have been a good mama because I'm so sweet. I am friendly and will give kisses. Now that I'm living in a foster home, I like to be my human's shadow. I will jump on the couch or follow her from room to room just to be close. Sometimes I'll ask to be petted, and sometimes I'm content to lie quietly next to her. I also love to play with other dogs my size. Since I am house-trained and a well-behaved girl, I get to stay loose in the house alone. In my foster home, I like using the dog door to go outside to do my business. If you don't have a dog door and need to be at work all day (too long for a girl to 'hold it'), I'm an ace at using pee pads too. You won't need to worry about me doing any oops on your carpet or furniture. My foster mom is helping me feel confident walking and going potty on a leash, and I must admit I'm doing a fantastic job! I am also very quiet, so I won't annoy any neighbors nearby. Sometimes I do need to retreat to my own spot and take everything in, so I'm hoping that a patient, kind person will want to give me a home where I can have the time and space to grow into the playful, spunky, and slightly spoiled dog I was always meant to be.
