About Yabba

Adoption Fee: $20
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Very pretty, lazy kitty. Belongs to my 11 year old who named her Yabba after the Flintsones. We rescued her and her litter mates who were born to a stray in the neighborhood. We found them all tangled up in a soccer net and were able to find homes for the others once we had them back in decent shape. She's about 2 1/5 years old. She doesn't like going outside, the furthest she'll venture is on the enclosed back porch where she knows we store her food. She requires free roam of the house, which we've always allowed her. She loves spying on the neighbors and her favorite thing in the world is playing with hair ties, don't ask why %A4%8Fȉ'%8D'ە%8F She has plenty of kitty toys and scratching posts but prefers to steal everyones hair ties and hide them under rugs or drop them in water, (hers or the dog water dishes or open toilets). She will not fish them back out so keep your seats down Anyway, the reason we are having to rehome her now is my mother in law brought her cat over while she was housesitting and we were away camping this past fall. Hers then started spraying everything in the house while she was here and now so does Yabba. She is litter trained and doesn't go just anywhere, only where the mother in law's cat did. I've tried everything I know to try though, I just can't keep up anymore. She is destroying my kids' mattresses and carpets. I think she would do best in a home without other cats, or at least ones that are litter trained and for sure good with other cats. I cannot guarantee her compatibility with them however, just speculating as our other pets are dogs. She does fine with them, mostly ignores them except when they were her size as puppies. Our children range in age of 4 to 15, she's always been fine with all of them as well. She will come with two litter boxes, scoop, clean litter, a mat for one of them and a food mat as well as her dishes and storage bin with her leftover food. I believe she also has some treats and we have a portable carrier as well as her toys. I would prefer wherever she goes that the family be willing to periodically send updates/pics. This isn't something we're wanting to do and want to be sure she's being loved and cared for. My daughter is going to miss her immensely.
