About MARIO & JACK

**BONDED PAIR - Mario and Jack must be adopted together! Jack and Mario are a bonded pair who were surrendered to West Valley Humane Society at 12 years old in hopes to find a better life. They had lived their entire lives outside and were not potty trained. After months of sitting in the shelter system Fuzzy Pawz Rescue took these boys into their foster care program so they could start a new life. Mario and Jack have been in a foster home for over a month learning how to be indoor dogs. They are now used to a routine and are comfortable staying inside (they LOVE being couch potatoes). It took them a while to pick up on potty training but are now accident free! Keeping them on a strict routine of consistent feeding and outing times has been very important in their potty training. These two have a lot of personality and enthusiasm for life. They have a lab-type demeanor, have a moderate energy level and are eager to please. They tend to have bursts of high energy with a lot of napping and laziness in-between. They like to go for walks and adventures and do well in the car as well as on leash. Mario has longer hair and is slightly bigger than Jack. He is incredibly sweet and loves to lay on the couch and up on your lap. He is just starting to master stairs and is still working on his stair confidence (he does best with an enthusiastic running start and lots of positive reinforcement). He is excellent on leash and likes to walk politely by your side. Mario is incredibly smart, easy to train and treat motivated. He has quickly picked up basic commands (still working on down) and is an amazing companion. Jack is smaller and has shorter hair with a noticeable and adorable under-bite. He is a face licker and could use some boundary setting in his new home. Jack is brave and brazen and is not fazed by much. It takes him a bit longer to learn new things but his loving personality and charm make up for it. Jack is working on his leash manners but is not quite at Mario's level yet. He can pull at first but then remembers his manners and is great to go on walks with. They are both incredibly sweet boys who would love to retire together in someone's cozy home. They are cat friendly and do very well with smaller dogs. They can take an adjustment period and patience with bigger dogs. They do excellent on leash and co walking with dogs of all sizes but can get overwhelmed by big dogs being in their space. Both are neutered, microchipped and have been checked by a vet and are healthy. Adopting these handsome men will bring nothing but joy to your life!
