About Yvette (Blind)

Poodle
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Poodle Age: Senior Females, Spayed 20 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Yvette was dumped on the street by heartless people near the Hayward Shelter. She is totally blind and it is a miracle that she was hit by a car or worse. A good Samaritan found her and took her to the shelter. Taking into account her blindness (from cataracts), she did pretty well with the shelter's temperament testing, and was made available for adoption to the general public. She waited 2 months in the shelter to find a forever home, but was passed over by people looking for a younger dog. No other rescue group was interested in taking her, so Nobody's Perfekt Dogs found a foster home and pulled her. She figured out the lay of house very quickly and how to get out to the backyard for peeing and pooping. She is not shy about letting her family know that she is hungry (pawing at the kitchen cupboard where the dog food is kept) or that she wants to be petted (pawing your arm if you stop petting her). She is very loving, gets along with other dogs, and it overall fairly 'low key.' She needs a quiet home with humans or other dogs that are around most of the time. Probably okay with cats, since she can't actually see them. For more information about Yvette, contact 510-459-0396 (cell / text) [email protected]
