About Ms. Joey

Meet Joey a presumed border collie mix Joey is a 4 year old girl who weighs 60lbs. She got her name from the cute way she bounces like a kangaroo! When Joey first arrived, she would sometimes bark at people from her kennel, but quickly we figured out that she was just doing her job--hey! someone is here!--and that she is sweet as can be. She has learned too, that in the shelter, strangers coming to the door can be a really fun thing, as they tend to bring treats and take you on walks! She is very active and very intelligent! She also loves to carry toys around with her. Joey has not played well with other dogs here yet. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. You are encouraged to call the shelter at 541 474-5458. When calling please press option 0. Hours open to the public 10 am - 4 pm every day except Sunday and posted holidays. Up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if your dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped.
