I came from a rescue in Louisiana. I am looking for a forever home up here in the north with a family who will love me for the rest of my life. I must have had some tough times in my former life and have a few scars or my ears and nose to show for it. I've got a beautiful, soft pink and brown spotted belly though that is in perfect shape for belly rubs! Things are really looking up for me now that I am with BROOD. You can call me a Bagel as I have both basset and beagle in my proud lineage. I am about seven years old. I am energetic and like to play with other dogs--a home with another dog who also likes to play would be great. I am crate trained and like to hang out in my crate at times. I do well riding in the car and walking on a leash. Walks are fun for an energetic dude like me. Unless it's raining. Or snowing. Or cold. Or even looks like it might rain, snow or be cold. Times like those I just need an extra little encouragement to go for a walk. It's hard sometimes to leave my nice cozy warm bed. I am working on my housetraining and I need to be let out routinely so I don't have an accident. I have been around cats at the vet's office and was okay with them. I do like a lot of attention from my people. Sometimes I will rub you like a cat does-I love any and all attention! My tail is always wagging and at high speed. There is so much to see and do. Due to my energy level, a home with children age 10 or older would be best. So if you want to share your life with a very happy energetic boy who can play hard and then rest hard, then we should get together. My former foster dad says I deserve to have a good home with someone that will give me lots of love and attention. I couldn't agree more! Please contact BROOD today! The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup.
