About Izzy

I am a 6 year old, 40 lb. female The best guess at my breed is: Mix I would be good in a home with: Dogs, a home with a fully fenced, secure yard. I prefer a home without: Young children, I haven't met cats yet I'm a shy, insecure girl who needs someone to teach me what it's like to be a loved dog. I don't think I've been handled very much by humans so I am very untrusting of them. I am making progress but will still need a very patient adopter or even a foster home who will help me get ready for a forever home.�%A0I will need a family�%A0that understands I am shy and will help keep me safe (I am probably an escape artist, so a secure, fenced in yard will probably be best). I'm starting to learn about what toys are. I've been caught collecting all of the toys and carrying them to my crate all for myself!�%A0I like the company of other dogs, especially if I am introduced slowly to them at first so I don't get overwhelmed. I arrived at the shelter with my dog friend, Maggie. She found her forever home but we used to cuddle in a crate together!
