I came to BROOD because the Pugs in my former home did not like me at all. Hard to believe, but Pugs can be a handful to deal with! My owner contacted BROOD so that I could find a home where everyone and every dog likes me. I am an eight-year-old full basset with AKC papers who is gentle, shy and full of kisses. I will curl up next to you as you read or watch tv. I am fully crate trained and will go into my crate to sleep or just chill out. Very loud noises like thunder or gun shots (I used to live near a gun range!) scare me, so a home in a quiet area is needed. I like to go on walks and also like to play gently with other dogs. I am not too fond of cats-I guess they remind me of those Pugs! I love to be petted and once we get to know each other, I am sure we will be best friends. Give me time to settle into a new place and I will soon be a part of your family. Just be sure to have time to pet and love me and I will be your best friend. My sweet and loving personality will make each day a great one. My adoption fee is $200. **Only BROOD approved adopters can meet a dog. The adoption application is on the BROOD website. We require a home visit and a veterinary reference. The age of many Brood dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on age of the dog. 11/13/18
