About Rax

Rax is the name and stealing hearts is the game! I used to have a home but I heard I was too hard to train to stay there. I was pretty down and scared about it when I first came to the shelter. I had never seen so many other dogs and humans before! Some nice people in the clinic gave me some shots (Ow!) and had me neutered (whatever that means!). Now I hear I'm ready for adoption and that I could get my very own home again! I hope it's a home with someone gentle, who won't yell at me or hit me for misbehaving. I don't mean to be naughty, I've just never been taught any differently. I think mouthing you is a good way to communicate but I'm open to learning other ways to tell you my likes and dislikes. I can be a bit jumpy about loud noises and new things since my world was so small up until 10/23/18. I've heard I'm a good boy who doesn't want to bite anyone, even when they try to steal my food and toys away. I promise to be a good learner if you promise to be a kind teacher! Please don't take me to a home with scary kids! I would appreciate a home with mature children (12 years & up) or a home without them.
