About Lady April

Lady April has just the youthful spirit and refreshing energy you need to take the edge off of the winter blues! Greetings friends, I'm Lady April and I'm hoping that my Christmas wish comes true this year; all I've ever wanted is a forever family of my own to love, play with, and cherish. When my foster found me, I was pregnant and in the local shelter. There were some serious issues with my pregnancy and I ended up losing my pups. I know it's sad that I lost my little family, but I just know that my forever mom or dad is out there waiting to take me in and show me the brighter side of life. I am only 1-2 years old, but I'm a very well-educated young lady. I am leash-trained, house-trained, and crate-trained! Other dogs are fine by me as long as they are not aggressive towards me. I'm also okay around kids as long as they don't get in my face or scare me (older kids might be a better fit). Perhaps my most endearing trait is the unwavering loyalty I develop once I am bonded with you. I am a velcro dog who just wants to follow you around, love you, and provide supervision and guidance for all of your household chores. If you're in search of a jogging, hiking, or walking buddy, you're definitely looking for me. I can only really protect you from squirrels, but with enough time and attention, I'd probably at least yell at a bear for you. If you're looking for a household buddy with some spring in her step to brighten up your day when you get home from work, you're looking for me, Lady April! Come down to Petsmart in Waynesboro on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM and ask my foster all about me! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
