About Koda

Koda was born in August 2017. He has been neutered and had his rabies and distemper vaccine in April 2018. When we adopted him we were told he was Akita/New Foundland but he seems mostly Akita to us! We've never had an Akita before but have discovered he's a great family dog who loves our children and gets along well with other dogs..for the most part. He has started to pounce and pin visiting dogs. We have another high-energy dog and we notice he becomes anxious when she wants to play. My family visits often and we have never had a problem with aggression towards them..however if Koda is approached first he backs into the corner and barks/growls. I know he just needs leadership and someone to work with him but with two small children we just don't have the time. We are looking for the right home and previous Akita experience would be great.
