About Commander Shepard

Commander Shepard is as impressive as his moniker suggests; handsome, regal and with a drive like no other, he is ready for every new adventure! He is the dog for every occasion and is the type to be by your side for life. As a working dog, Commander is suited for plenty of activity and drive and is looking for a family that wants a mature companion that is also ready to learn everything he can. At five years old, Commander is more than ready to find the right family for him. His previous family had purchased him as a puppy, but were not prepared for his energy or his drive. This led to Commander spending most of his time outside, watching the world pass him by. Since he came to our shelter, we have been making sure that every day for Commander is exciting and full of new adventure and possibility. He has been flying through obedience training, and has mastered fetch from day 1. Commander is now ready for his own family to come along that will see what we at Adopt-A-Dog see: an incredibly loyal and intelligent dog that deserves to be treated like the best friend he is. We would love for his new family to have had working dog experience so they can set Commander up for success as he gets a home of his own.
