About PeninsulaCooter Turtle

Adoption Fee: $50
Reptile/Amphibian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Peninsula Cooters are river-dwelling turtles native to Florida. Somewhat uncommon in the pet trade, they still pop up from time to time and like most turtles, they get rather large (especially females, which grow up to be over a foot long), and they live 40-60 years. This turtle has a yellow lower shell (underbelly), black upper shell (back), and black and yellow striped skin, and still has some growing to do (about 6 inches long right now). Picture will be added later. Turtles require special lights, an aquarium with a water filter and heater, and a spot to crawl out and bask on.
