About Oliver

Oliver is in need of a new loving home. He is very independent, docile and loves to sleep on his own, but also a tail wagging happy boy that loves to cuddle. He is the sweetest boy but due to the addition of another dog in the home and a lot of moves, he is unable to have another dog in the home. He has been displaying aggressive tendencies since the introduction of the new dog. He tends to only act out when abruptly waken up, gets fixated on a toy/bone. He was recently taken to an aggressive dog trainer and we were unable to trigger his aggressive behaviors. The trainer doesn't deem him an aggressive dog, but said that he lashes out because he doesn't know how else to communicate his frustrations. We have a pinch collar on him in the home to be able to deter any outbursts but he distributes very clear warning signs in order to avoid any instances. He is an exceptional dog that is left out all day to roam free along with his sister and he doesn't chew ANYTHING! He is crated at night to avoid any outbursts. He needs a loving home with a family that is looking for one dog only. I don't feel comfortable placing him in a home with kids as he is pretty independent and if he is overwhelmed when he is getting a lot of attention I fear he might have an outburst. The most ideal home would be someone that has had a Jack Russell before, so they are familiar with their temperaments. I would be willing to talk more in person or via email.
