Romi is a sweet, demure black and white female terrier/lab mix, approximately 3 years old and weighs 36 lbs. A gentle girl who just wants to feel safe and loved, Romi is still learning how to be a dog after being rescued as a stray, and would blossom with patient nurturing and attention. Initially timid when you first meet her, she takes awhile to warm up to new people, but soon wiggles and groans for attention once she feels safe. Romi loves to run and play with other male dogs more than female ones, and would do best in a household either as the solo dog, or with at least one other male dog for companionship; her current best friend is her human foster's male 70-lb chow/retriever mix! Romi is housetrained, can use a doggy door, likes to sleep in her crate (along with the couch and doggy bed), and loves to spend time outside and enjoy nature. She responds very well to gentle positive reinforcement, and is eager to give and receive love and affection. Please see her video for more images of Romi. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio, Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
