About Shanti

I adopted this beautiful little dog nine months ago from our local shelter. She had been rescued, adopted, and returned within a week because she did not get along with their dog or the people. Before that she had been a stray, so no one really knows for how long. She has been a wonderful dog with me, but has trust issues, and gets very protective of me when others come to my home. Most recently she has even bitten me. She will go from being subservient, rolling over and exposing her belly, to suddenly lashing out. She knows when she has been bad, and will walk over to her carrier to put herself in time out. It's as if she knows something has come over her, but she doesn't know why. She loves being in vehicles. She would live best with someone with no kids, no other pets, maybe a long-distance trucker! : ) I can no longer keep her because I am elderly with health issues, but I do not want to see her put down. She loves her daily walks! Thank you for considering rescuing this little dog!
