About Tasch

Tasch is only 20 months old. She is spayed, got her rabies and distemper shot in October and is 140lbs.THIS DOG JUST NEEDS A FAMILY WITH EXPERIENCE OF A PUPPY SAINT GROWING INTO ADULTHOOD and the time and exercise and knowledge of training a Saint Bernard puppy. FROM FAMILY: She came from a family with a 4 year old and she seemed good with him. I have 16 and 18 year olds and she's good around them, unless she wants something or you don't let her do something and she becomes a bit scary, although she never bit anyone, just throws her weight around, growls and is a little hard to control. She has been used to doing whatever she wanted and has no leash manners or social skills. We have a trainer coming to the house and she has improved on her leash, as long as the environment is calm. If a squirrel crosses the street she will drag you, she will need continued work to improve on her impulse control. We have gates that have worked but lately realize they won't work unless they are bolted to the door frame. She is not totally crate trained yet. She Never had an accident in the house, she goes outside without a problem. If she sees a dog, she must go to him, and drag you along. She has not had many where she was allowed to go to dog, but I believe her behavior is more of curiosity and has no impulse control. She is still young. FROM RESCUE: THIS DOG IS A GIANT PUPPY WHO SIMPLY NEEDS EXERCISE, WALKS, TRAINING. SHE IS LONELY AND HER FINE MIND IS NOT BE STIMULATED. SHE IS OUTSIDE ALL DAY AND NOT EXERCISED AT ALL EXCEPTED ROAMING THE YARD BY HERSELF. We need a saint savvy adopter who knows this is teenager behavior and a saint in need of exercising her fine mind and body. A doggie playmate would be ideal (same size and/or energy/age level).
