About TEDDY, THE HUGGIE BEAR

Say hi to TEDDY. He's the 'dogification' of your favorite childhood teddy bear, the one you loved to hug and carry around with you. This TEDDY hugs back and he is the sweetest huggie bear you'll ever met. TEDDY is about 3-years-old, weighs 45 lbs, and is an adorable medley of shepherd, rottie, and something small but your guess is as good as mine. He's a happy, fun-loving pup who wants a family who includes him in most of their activities--walks, jogs, car rides, watching TV and afternoon naps. His favorite past time at night is chewing on a bone while curled up next to you. In his foster home TEDDY gets along best with the submissive dogs especially females. Until she was adopted, his BFF was Penny (see them playing in the video) with whom he daily spent hours running, playing, wrestling and chilling together. Surprisingly he was fine when Penny was adopted, possibly because his most cherished relationship is with his people. He would love being your one and only fur-kid soaking up all the attention for himself. TEDDY is a smart pup, eager to please, highly treat motivated and loves learning new things. He does well in the crate and walks well with a harness. He is house broken, learning good house manners and benefits from positive, force free training only. He is still a little hand shy and feels threatened when you toss large balls, etc. to him. When he first came into foster he would fall to the ground when you tossed a biscuit or toy to him, as if it was meant to hurt him. Similarly if you jump up quickly from a chair and he was nearby, he reacts as if you intend harm him. He's such a love, it's painful to think anyone hurt him in his past. He's an awesome dog that is easy to love and adore. TEDDY is neutered and up to date on core vaccines. Adoption fee is $400. Please note that training is highly recommended for all dogs.
