We found this guy abandoned near a road side. It took two days to get him to come to us - we think because he was waiting for his first family to come back for him. Checked all lost dog sites, etc. Vet looked him over, a bit skinny, but shiny coat and great teeth and gums. He is a beautiful animal, easy to get along with everyone, we have not had him by any small children so we don't know but are not concerned. Although the vet thinks he is about one year old, it does not appear that he has been properly house trained. The crate seems to work but he does put up a fuss when in it and people are home. He does sleep through the night in it quietly. He has the most gorgeous face and eyes, seems very smart and alert. I think only someone with experience with beagles should adopt him because he is a handful. Does not really give kisses but does love to snuggle Once he is worn out! Put purebred but really not sure.
