About Poncho

My name is Poncho! I am a 4 year old male Terrier mix weighing about 10 lbs. I was surrendered because my family was moving. This was really hard on me. I missed my family so much. I spent a very long time in rescue because I was very scared so whenever someone walked by my kennel I didn't behave very well. I was finally able to go to a wonderful foster home and show that I'm not a bad guy at all. I am shy at first but once I know you I never want to leave your side. I have TONS of personality but I also have a bit of separation anxiety and prefer that my human(s) be home with me a lot. I am not destructive at all, I just feel better being with my people. My foster home has lots of dogs and I get along with all of them very well. I really don't play much with them though, but that may change in my new home. I'd rather be with my people but I wouldn't mind a doggie companion to help me with my confidence. I do like to gather my toys at night when it's time for bed. I would really love a new home where I could snuggle with my people in bed at night. I am doing pretty good with my potty training but will need a little bit of patience while I acclimate to a new home. I am very food motivated and smart so I would love to learn some new tricks. I will do well in an active or low activity home. I love the dog park and will need a yard to run in. Because of my shyness I startle easily so I need a home without young children. My adoption fee is $220.00. I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, licensed and vet checked. My adoption comes with 30 days of free pet insurance and a free vet visit.
