About MALE DOG (west)

MALE DOG - A4177976 I am a male, white and brindle American Bulldog mix. The shelter staff think I am about 9 years old. I was found as a stray, and I have been at the shelter since Nov 23, 2018. No one has come forward to claim me. This poor little guy is close to completely blind. He has difficulty maneuvering around objects. Tends to walk into them, though he did appear to see movement at end of hallway when person walked into view. Possibly sees shadows or shapes. He walks slow on a lead, and will bump his head into your leg to keep his bearings. He's a gentle and friendly boy, takes treats gently and has good manners. A volunteer had him at home for a while and reported that he seems to love kids. Hearing his 3 year old talking, the dog's tail started thumping against the wall. He is not calloused like he has been outside a lot - seems to have been an inside dog. Appears house trained, and has not had an accident in the house yet. Seemed sad that he could not sleep in same room as volunteer, but settled down in kennel easily. We are hoping that someone will take in this wonderful senior gentleman, and live out his remaining years with someone who will love him and appreciate the loyalty and love he will give.
