About Trixie

This beautiful girl is Trixie! She is a Chinese Crested who is 2 years old and weighs 14 pounds. We don't know much about her background as Trixie came to us from a shelter in Alabama. How this sweet, beautiful girl ever ended up in such a place is beyond comprehension. What we do know is she is a LOVE BUG. She's very affectionate and so happy to be in a home where she gets all the love and attention she can take! She gets along great with the houseful of dogs at the foster home and LOVES people. We are not sure about cats and she has not been kid tested. Trixie does walk on a leash and enjoys going outside with her person. She is prone to run off when not in a fenced yard or on a leash, so she will either need a home with a fenced in yard or must always be on leash when outside, at least until she is comfortable and familiar with her surroundings. She is not apprehensive of people at all but just unsure in a new environment. Trixie is doing great on housebreaking and we believe will be fine when she learns the household schedule. She is an extremely smart girl. She loves her dog bed and finds that to be her safe place. We are not sure of Trixie's history but given how she is when outside, it is clear she is not used to being confined, so we believe crating would not be in her best interest. She needs the ability to explore her surroundings when she is comfortable and crating will inhibit her ability to do so. Trixie has been spayed, Rabies vaccinated, microchipped and is heartworm negative. She received a great check up at the vet and is now ready for her furever family.
