George is a 2 year old 70 pound shepherd/ retriever mix who has been in our family x1.5 years. He is very active, loves to walk/ run, camp, hike, and snuggle. He sleeps in bed with us and loves to spoon. We are looking to re-home him because he needs a lot of attention and training, more than we are able to offer. He has escaped our home multiple times, hopped our four foot tall fence, and scared neighbors with his shepherd bark, and run across busy streets and we do not feel we can keep him safe. He is loving to our four children and cat. Barks and nips at guests in the home. Our vet agrees that he is not aggressive but could use a lot of training. We maxed our pet budget this past year treating heart worm (he was a rescue from Texas) and repairing damaged property (he loves to chew even with marrow bones and bully sticks at the ready - seems to be anxious to be left home alone even for a few hours). He would benefit greatly from crate training (barked non-stop in a crate and upset a neighbor), an owner passionate about dog training, a safe yard with high fences, and continued high activity.
