About Roxie

Roxie (Rox) is a 4 year old Shepard mix. She was rescued from the Franklin County animal shelter. Roxie doesn't care for the kennel, but who can blame her after being stuck in one at the shelter for such a long time. Roxie doesn't need a kennel however. Roxie doesn't chew on anything but food, treats, and bones! Did I mention that Roxie has never had one accident in the house? Roxie is very good at using those big brown eyes and a soft whimper to tell you it's time to go for a walk (she does that to remind you it's time to eat as well). Roxie is child friendly, dog friendly, and cat friendly! Roxie loves to cuddle up with her foster parents and their children. Roxie wants to be with her fosters wherever they go in the house. She also loves car rides and has never been car sick. Roxie loves squirrels! She thinks they all need to be chased! Roxie only knows 'sit' and if you try to teach her a new trick, she likes to bark to let you know she's mastered sit and doesn't need to learn a new trick. Roxie stays in the foster's foyer (Roxie won't jump over baby gates) while her fosters are not home. She's never been left alone for more than a few hours, but she seems to handle them being away just fine. If you want a dog that will sleep all night at the foot of your bed and snuggle with you on a sofa, this is the girl for you!
