About FOSTER/ADOPT CHOCOLAT

Meet Chocolat, a pretty and sweet 10 month old, 41 lb hound/terrier mix looking for a loving forever home. She is a little shy and tentative when she first meets you or tries something new. She will need basic training using force free methods and positive conditioning. She would do well in a home with a friendly resident dog who would mentor her and help build up her confidence and trust level. She is a smart pup, and looks to others for guidance. At the shelter she was very clumsy at first on the leash but with a little gentle guidance and encouragement she got the hang of it. She loved the shelter's mentor dog right away and enjoyed some playtime with her. The resident cat, however, was a novelty to her and she needed some time to make sure it meant her no harm. Chocolat is new to rescue so there will be much more about her once she goes into a foster home. So if you like what you see and hear be sure to come back soon. Chocolat is spayed, heart worm negative and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $400. Please note that training is highly recommended for all dogs.
