A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.�'۬Hal, poodle mix, what he is mixed with we don't know, had major, major skin problems happening from severe neglect. 5 years old, 14.6 lbs, neutered etc. Poor Hal, yet again another case of severe neglect & needing out a kill shelter in CA, it breaks your heart to think of him being there & seeing him there did break our hearts & we were not leaving him, just looking at the state of his skin & missing fur truly broke our hearts & how thin this sweet little man was. We got Hal to our vets in CA & then bought him back to WA & took him again to our vets in WA. This poor sweet boy had been so neglected, his skin was so dry & he was covered in white dead skin even after his medicated baths several times a week & his poor tail was so bald & he was so unbelievably itchy. Poor Hal also had a ear infection & needed treatment. Hal also needed a dental but because of bad his skin was he needed a good diet & nutrition & his medicated baths to bring his skin back to health before being put under for his dental. Hal is also getting fish oil every day to help is skin & fur recovery. Hal will be getting a dental before he goes to his new forever home. This little man is looking for a loving family who has another little dog in the home for him to play with, he enjoys the company of other dogs so this is a requirement in his new forever home. A family who will continue to work on Hal's fur growth & good nutrition & love. Hal is a neutered male possibly poodle mix, what he is mixed with we do not know. He weighs roughly 14.6 lbs, is 5 years old neutered, is up to date on his shots, heart worm negative, chipped, loves all other dogs, great with people. Hal's previous foster mum & dad said he definitely can be in a family that has other dogs that love to play but he can become obsessed with his toys when playing with them. He is very outgoing & social but would do better in a calmer home & no children in the home. Hal also does well in the car & really has become accustomed to his medicated baths & does enjoy them. He knows they are helping him. Hal has not been around cats since being in the rescue & does chase but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children but we do not recommend children in his forever home so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. We do not know for sure what breed Hal is mixed with & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Hal's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Hal & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Hal that meet all the requirements for this adorable little fellow. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Hal has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for his truly loving forever home. �'۬An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.�'۬As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescu
