Spent several months with our trainer. Look at that adorable little face, how could anyone not love this little face? Our understanding is poor Trie was dropped off at the kill shelter in CA by his owner & boy was he a matted filthy mess & unfortunately he was very sick with an upper respiratory infection & needed out as his time had run out & because of how ill this little man was things were more dire. We got him out & straight to our vets. It became quite clear after a couple of days that poor Trie had not been treated very well in his life but our first priority was getting this little man well & by the loving hands & heart of his foster mum he recovered beautifully from his upper respiratory infection. In his foster home in CA Trie adored his foster mum & foster siblings but when it came to men he had a serious dislike for them & also when being put into a crate at the vets he hated it. We got this little fella the help he needed to learn trust men again & Trie spent several months with our wonderful trainer. Trie is reserved at first when he first meets you & trusts you & takes a little time to warm up to you. But who could blame him after what he has been through. He is timid at first but then he is your best friend once he knows you & trusts you & enjoys a good run & play with a pack of dogs. Trie also does really well when having a bath & quite enjoys it. Trie will need a home with other dogs in the home & someone who is quite active or their dogs are active someone who will understand what he has been through & we would not put him in a home with small children. Trei is neutered, chipped, up to date on his shots, he is heart worm negative, possibly a Scottish Terrierr mix, 3 years old, roughly 14.5 lbs, loves to play with other other dogs & now he does really well with men. We do not know for sure what breed Trei is & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. Trei has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had him around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with. Trei would also do best being in a home with other dogs so this is a requirement in his loving forever home. As with all of our rescues & Trei's friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Trei & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Trei that meet all the requirements for this adorable little fellow. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Trei has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for his forever home. '۬An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.'۬As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave the
