About Cookie

Cookie (about 9 years old as of November 2018) is a spayed female torbie shorthaired cat. Cookie was fixed as a kitten through Spay and Stay and adopted by one of our earliest caretakers. She lived with him her whole life until unfortunately in early 2018 he passed away. She has adjusted very well to life in foster care. Although she is a little on the shy side once she warms up she really comes out to seek attention and loves to be petted and have her belly rubbed. She is also very food and treat motivated which really helps her get used to new people! She is doing okay with the very small children in her foster home but like most older kitties who only lived with one adult their whole life we can tell she'd probably prefer the company of older kids to shrieking toddlers. She does great with other cats but in her 9 years she has never lived with dogs and we think she'd prefer to stick with a cat only home.
